HAT Basic and Advanced Workshops

Workshop Information

Workshops

Dr. Diepold offers Workshops for licensed mental and health professionals in the USA, Canada, and Europe. Workshop training for using HAT® is offered at the “Basic” and “Advanced” levels.  Individual and group case consultation meetings are also available for development of clinical expertise.

The Basic Clinical Skills Workshop

This two-day Basic Clinical Skills workshop provides the fundamental "basics" to using Heart Assisted Therapy in clinical practice.  Through lecture, discussion, demonstrations, and practice opportunities the participants learn to successfully experience and use the HAT protocol. Some of the content covered includes the history and development of the HAT model, the melding of traditional psychological orientations with the science of heart energy and our electromagnetic mind-body connection, the therapeutic stance of the therapist, the "Four Guiding Principles" used to guide the therapist, and the "Heart-breath" treatment procedure.  Using the Basic protocol will enable the therapist to address symptoms and conditions involving anxiety, stress, anger, depression, grief and loss, and traumatic experiences.

There are typically 14 contact hours of training over the two days.  A signed certificate of participation is provided to all participants who fully complete the two days, which may be applicable for CE credits.

The Advanced Applications Workshop

The Advanced workshop is open only to licensed clinicians who have taken the Basic Clinical Skills workshop and have had at least 4 months of clinical experience using HAT.

This two-day Advanced Applications workshop builds upon the skills learned in the Basic workshop to better prepare the therapist to treat more challenging symptoms and conditions.  Through lecture, discussion, demonstrations, and practice opportunities the participants learn to successfully experience and use the advanced HAT methods and protocols. Some of the content areas covered includes pain management, muscle checking, severe trauma with dissociation, self-sabotaging behaviors, sport and performance enhancement, Future Performance Imagery, working with children and adolescents, Subjective Units of Elation, model building and theoretical musings about how HAT may work, and case consultation opportunity.

There are typically 14 contact hours of training over the two days.  A signed certificate of participation is provided to all participants who fully complete the two days, which may be applicable for CE credits.
